Membership Requirements
Founded in 1935, the Rochester Garden Club is a popular and active group that has worked to enhance the greater Rochester area for many years. We are dedicated to learning about gardening, environmental stewardship and contributing to related charities in greater Rochester. With over 100 members, everyone can find a place to develop her passions and interests while finding friends and having a great time.
To join the club, prospective members must first attend two regular club meetings held the second Tuesday of the month at the Rochester Community House. We are a friendly group, and all newcomers will be made welcome. Meet and greet begins at 9:30 am and the business meeting starts at 10 am. We offer programs featuring speakers who present wide ranging topics of interest after the business meeting. Check out the club calendar for exact dates.
All members must participate in at least one Standing Committee and serve on the Continental Breakfast Committee at one general meeting each year. Members must also participate in at least two outreach and/or fund-raising activities such as the Preschool Garden Project, Civic Planting, the Gifts and Greens Market and the Rochester Garden Walk.
